Printing compliments of Etsy

I love this etsy video, haven't silkscreened with emulsion before but would like to try. The vid is pretty humorous as well, which is a necessity if I am to learn anything. I've been searching around the internet trying to figure out interesting ways to produce promotional copy for myself. Have graphic designer on the job, Casey Moosman, so now I'm thinking about how to produce these. I love the idea of pieces that are handworked, but I'm not sure how plausible it is, if I do it right I think I could come up with something memorable.

Mama, don't take my Kodachrome away from me!!

Remembering Kodachrome... these images from Fortune's archive look remarkably contemporary even though most were made many decades ago. Good bye to Kodachrome, you beautiful medium! It has been an intense time for photographers these last couple of years as slowly more and more of the analog mediums fade to black.

Field Trip: Letchworth Park

During our field trip with PA2, we visited Letchworth NY State Park. Denis Defibaugh took me to a trail that lead to a small pond and my images focused on the small life surrounding the marshy area. Fun!

Mermaid Parade

Just got back from NYC after assisting a shoot at the Mermaid Parade. My cousin Elize Hendler, a creative professional who also spends her time in the non-profit sector, allowed me to assist her on her annual project entitled the Living Photo Booth,  a gig she has participated in for 5 years to assist in funding  the Coney Island Museum.
The red backdrop seen in some of my photos from the event are part of the Living Photo Booth's setup for the portraits produced at the parade. I'm not particularly a street or event photographer but found myself capturing elements around the space. Great fun. If you'd like to find out more about Elize's portraits, you can visit www.mermaidparadeball.com

New Images: Somewhat Retro

New image from shooting tonight, using my attic studio for the first time. I finally got it cleaned out enough for usage, yay! My images are seeming to get more interesting, in my opinion. These remind me of prints and imagery from the 50s and 60s, not sure if that's because of the color or the designs. I have been looking at images from old claymation movies.
